I must have a little OCD in me; once an idea pops up, it festers until I write it down.
I was riding in the back of a Uber in San Francisco and I saw a homeless man with a black Lab. The dog was beautiful, the man not so much. So I started thinking.
My friend Susie is always telling me, ‘Write what you know, write a crime story.’
And so it begins.
The working title so far is Travis, a story about a homeless vet and his best friend in both life and death, Travis.
Update: February 10,2021
Travis had been retitled to Trufant. I finished writing and self editing Trufant in December and submitted it to several publishers. Some have already rejected it and I’ll wait another month to hear from the rest of them, failing that I’ll begin preparations to self publish it.
