Lieutenant Trufant
Lieutenant Trufant launched in March and the reviews are coming in.
Available now through Amazon, BN.com, and selected independent bookstores

Lieutenant Marcus Trufant sits alone in his apartment waiting for his phone to ring, and praying it won’t. It’s April, 11th and just like the April before, he knows a United States veteran will be slaughtered in the next several hours. Each year a veteran is killed on April 11th, and another on December 1st. The first two occurred in Chicago, but the last four have been on his streets.
The killer leaves no clues and no trace evidence, but after each homicide a cryptic letter arrives. A hand written quote from Shakespeare, always with a hint of revenge, but revenge for what?
The case has already ruined his marriage and it is slowly destroying Trufant as well. Only catching this killer will save him, and losing is not an option.
Jeff Shaw’s fascinating first novel pits the seasoned detective against a methodical serial killer that leaves nothing but dead men in his wake.
A police novel of pain and frustration.

Wow! As a former homicide detective myself, this book really grabbed me. I love it when you know the author has done his due, and homework. The author made it easy for me to picture myself in Lt. Trufant’s shoes, walk his mile, feel his frustrations, the ups and downs, his pain, all of it. I loved it!, especially Travis, the dog, who was perfect in his part of the story. I truly believe it would make a great movie, and I hope there will be more Trufant adventures. A tip of the hat to you, Mr. Shaw… Job well done.
Grabs you in the first few pages!

I was easily drawn into the characters from the struggling homeless Veteran and the tenacity of Lt Trufant in solving a string of vicious murders. I don’t want to ruin any surprises but highly recommend this page turner!
